Find out what you're actually made of.
InBody body composition scanning is included with every MAC membership at 850 Holt Drive, Bigfork, Montana. The scan measures skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass and percentage, visceral fat area, segmental lean analysis across both arms, both legs and trunk, total body water and an estimated basal metabolic rate — all in under 60 seconds. A MAC team member walks you through your printed result sheet after every scan.
What InBody measures
Six numbers the scale never gives you: skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass and percent body fat, visceral fat area, segmental lean analysis (both arms, both legs, trunk), total body water split into intracellular and extracellular compartments, and an estimated basal metabolic rate derived from lean mass rather than height and weight alone.
How to prepare
Stand upright for 5 to 10 minutes before testing. Wait at least 3 hours after eating or drinking. Test 1 to 3 days after hard exercise rather than the morning after. Empty your bladder first. Avoid sauna, steam or a long swim the same day. Test under the same conditions every time — consistency matters more than perfection.
How often to retest
Every 4 to 12 weeks. More often than every 4 weeks and you are mostly measuring normal water fluctuations rather than genuine changes in muscle or fat tissue.
Safety notice
The InBody test cannot be used by anyone with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic medical device.
